Once you are in a relationship you think it is going to last forever. But in reality, it only lasts for as long as you and your friend/partner is working for it.  Now here’s the catch; if one of the parties involved (either you or your friend/partner) stops investing effort through sacrifice, support, respect, trust, mutual understanding, spending some time together or just communicating over a long period - to make the friendship/relationship work, guess what happens next – THE RELATIONSHIP FALLS APART ( Always Remember This) Can you relate? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments

MY NYSC EXPERIENCE 2019/2020

Image
Wow! Time flies fast. Memories from the 5th day (in November) last year, 2019, remain fresh in my mind. It was my very first day at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp where I met several others like myself who had left the comfort of their homes/families for sake of fulfillment, excitement or perhaps sheer necessity; to experience something different from the predictability of college life. Apparently, my first 60 hours staying at the camp were not as fun as I thought it should be... Perhaps I wasn't the only one who felt this way after realizing that: one had to share a room which was poorly ventilated with 29 others of akin gender, one also had to leave anything one was doing to report to the parade ground immediately one heard the sound of the loud beagle, one would be all dressed in white 98% of the three weeks one had to spend in camp, one wasn't always guaranteed access to running water nor a socket for re-charging essential devices. Great things always happen at the perfect time, you never know when that time is - only the universe truly knows. Until then: stay grateful, be unapologetically honest, unburden your heart, trust GOD, write your goals, keep improving, apply your talents, learn, enjoy your journey, feed your soul with healthy choices, and just be generally a good person in your little way. BECOME!

FEAR VS YOU

Focus on where you want to go, not on what you fear. “ - Tony Robbins You feel like you lack what it takes, right? Many  achievers have felt the same way too; but that didn’t stop them, neither should  it stop  you too. Dear reader, you see...  Fear itself is a reaction in your brain   to help determine your best defense or flight reaction. This reaction occurs in your amygdala and  results in bodily changes that  enable you become more efficient when faced with  danger. Fear is very essential for your survival. Internal and External fears  are  the  basic categories  of  fear. Internal fears e.g. self –doubt &  anxiety; External fears  e.g. fear of  heights  & wild  animals. The essence of life is to evolve. As you evolve in this journey, there will be frightening obstacles in your way to test your strength. Nevertheless, remain focused and always let your destination or goal energize you to overcome all obstacles, because you are stronger than you think you

THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SOFT-SKILL TO HAVE NOW

"Creativity is related to 9 of the top 10 skills that global executives say is essential for 2020 and beyond." – World Economic Forum   So what really is "Creativity"? According to Stefan Mumaw, who has authored six books on creativity,  "Creativity is problem-solving with relevance and novelty." It also is,  "the ability to combine and recombine bits of information — either from your store of memories and knowledge or from the outside environment — in novel, original, and useful ways,”  says Shelley Carson, author of  Your Creative Brain: Seven Steps to Maximize Imagination, Productivity, and Innovation in Your Life. Life is like a stage play...  There are Scenes in the Acts of life, and there are many Acts in the Play called life; fortunately, God Himself is the playwright of life - Now, He already has illustrated severally in the manual for life (The HOLY BIBLE) that though we may experience a few tough scenes, we are not to be shaken because the play doesn't end a tragedy. So don't leave the theater yet, cast your cares upon Him, sit still, as you're about to experience your scene change for the better, because what the enemy meant for evil would serve as a stepping stone to a brighter future. THE LIFE YOU ACQUIRED IS NOT YOUR LIFE

Image
The life you acquired or were born into isn't yours. Forget about your age, quit bench-marking your life against that of other people, your life hasn't started yet; so don't be mad desperate to get out of your acquired life in a hurry such that you inflict damage on your soul for eon or sell your freedom and peace of mind in the interim. Be patient with yourself, the purpose of life is to evolve at your own pace. Take all the time you need - learn, unlearn, relearn and equip your mind with all empowering knowledge, principles and models to help you build a solid, decent and healthy life for your true self, your higher self, the you that you actually are. Notwithstanding, if you now realize that you already made some terrible decisions and choices with your life; my dear, you're not alone and everyone makes mistakes, but understand this "it's not your fault and there's not a much better time than now to turn a new leaf." ...
