Basics Of Motivating Your People

Image
Based on studies and observation I have come to realize that acts of encouragement, support, empowerment, and celebration more often than not are the most efficient tools to motivate adults and children to perform extraordinarily well at what they do. This is mostly because these acts (encouragement, support, empowerment, and celebration) create within them, an inner feeling of "I AM SEEN, VALUED, AND APPRECIATED" - which are very vital for building the confidence required to approach tasks or challenges with a winning mindset. Remember, humans are by default emotional creatures no matter how logical we sometimes are. Hence, to get the desired action/result from our kind, the right emotions first ought to be activated from within. How have you been motivating your people before now? What has worked for you? share in the COMMENTS πŸ‘πŸΌ

Book Of Chris: πŸ¦† Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings, and emotions. That shouldn't be happening. Enjoy every moment of your life.  πŸ¦† If it does not bring you peace, profit, or purpose, then don't give it your time, energy and attention.  πŸ¦† Starting a business from scratch will teach you more than a degree ever will.  🌻Develop the habit of supporting your friends business like you support these celebrities who don't know you exist.  🌻Forget nice cars and designer clothes. Having good health, peace of mind, more time to spend on things you enjoy and progressing financially is the real flex.  🌻 Practice positive self-talk regularly, because your mind listens. 🏺 Generational wealth and virtuousness starts with the one person who is devoted to building it. Be that person in your family.  🏺In your 20s you care what everyone thinks of you. In your 40s you stop caring what everyone thinks of you. In your 60s you realize that

Communicating Like A Pro

Image
By now you already know that the average attention span of most humans is shorter than that of a gold fish.  Meaning you'd have to state your main idea in an appealing way within the first 8  seconds of your elevator pitch or presentation; in order for your target audience to pick interest and act in your favour.  To make the most of a limited time when communicating your ideas, "The Pyramid Principle" is a very effective structure.  At its core, The Pyramid Principle is a way of explaining ideas in a way that allows you to quickly seize your audience’s attention and communicate with gravitas, by creating a compelling story that is easy to understand and remember. It involves communicating in an "audience focused" manner, by: πŸ• First - starting your pitch or presentation with the main point. The main point could either be the solution to your audience's problem, an answer to your audience's question, or your hypothesis to an identified problem. By doing

Don't Be Too Quick To Conclude

Image
How many times have you missed out on wonderful possibilities because you were too quick to make a conclusion about an experience, a person, or even a product - without actually thinking through?  You see, we live in a fast paced world but the fact still remains that good things take time. Patience is a virtue. If it took you time to actually figure something out, you put yourself in the position to better understand it and excel at it. So don't be lazy at being patient, and don't be passive during moments of patience... Life gives us opportunities to learn, grow, and share - Don't miss out on that by having a closed mind. Kindly LIKE, SAVE, SHARE or Comment on your experience... Thank you

Pray Like You Would Chat With Your Best Friend

Start the Conversation: Sometimes, you probably feel overwhelmed about talking to God, but really the act of prayer doesn’t have to look like a formal morning ritual or a strictly scheduled act before each meal. Prayer doesn’t even have to be flawlessly worded, and you don’t have to take note about every detail to make it valid. As a matter of fact, prayer can be as simple as a series of short conversations throughout your day, just like you might text your spouse or best friend. Give God updates, ask His opinion, and tell Him how you feel. Remember, all GOD wants is an authentic relationship with you.  When we pray, God wants us to feel comfortable enough to spill it all out. He already knows us inside and out, so we don't have to hide our worries, insecurities, or feelings from Him.  The Psalms written by David are great examples of how to pray with complete vulnerability. David cries out to the Lord in anguish and he praises God with beautiful poetry. He pours out every bit

Book Of Chris : 🐚Every self-made millionaire/billionaire got there either by investing, building a business, or doing both. There are no shortcuts.  🐚 Life is hard for two reasons: either you are leaving your comfort zone or you are staying in it.  🐚 To be successful at anything you don't have to be different. You just have to be what most people are not - consistent.  🐚 Stop letting your potential go to waste because you don't feel confident or ready enough. People with just a quarter of your talent are making serious waves while you are still waiting to feel ready.  🐚 Being famous is overrated. Being wealthy and anonymous to live a peaceful life is underrated.  🐚 If your circle of friends isn't discussing success, stocks, starting business, fitness, and giving you positive encouragement, then you're in the wrong circle.  🐚 Focus on 3-5 years down the road. Most people don't realize that the life they live right now is based solely on the decisions they made

How Servant Leadership Works

Image
A Short Story: All the staff on Ola's team know that he is always there for them. Ola checks in with them frequently and helps them to develop the skills required to advance their careers, even when there's the possibility of them moving on afterwards.  Ola is also known to make an effort to see situations from others' perspectives and make decisions with the team's best interest in mind. He also goes the extra mile to ensure that his team members are adequately equipped with the resources and knowledge they need to meet objectives.  As a result, his team is known to be the most successful in his department. Apart from that, his team is known for high staff retention, excellent results, and high engagement. From the story above, Ola's style is what management & leadership scholars describe as "Servant Leadership", a very effective people-management approach.  Simply put, "Servant Leadership" is leading people with high regards for their needs
